When Kimono are cleaned in Japan they are completely disassembled, and the pieces are hand stitched back into the shape of the original bolt. It is then send for cleaning. This laundered kimono is called Araihari (ah rye hah rhi). Know that there are sometimes stains that have not come out, or earlier small dammage to the fabric. This fabric has a moody atmosphere of sprays of rose flower branches on a grey background with shadows of darker grey throughout. Very soft, smooth, supple hand.
